Prof. Dr. Anon Auetragul

AnonBiotec Mushroom Institute

Prof. Dr. Anon Auetragul’s first foray into mushroom research began at Kasetsart University (Bangkok, Thailand) in 1972, where he joined student volunteers to form a Mushroom Club, with the purpose of promoting interest in growing mushroom. The initiative has been recognized as the first endeavor in promoting mushroom cultivation in Thailand. Subsequently, he joined the Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives as a mushroom researcher.  From 1981-2003, Prof. Auetragul worked as a United Nations Mushroom Expert, which enabled him to further promote mushroom research in Bhutan, India, Nepal, Philippines and numerous countries in Africa. In 2003, he founded the AnonBiotec Mushroom Institute, specializing in commercial mushroom cultivation as well as establishing itself as one of the leaders in medicinal mushroom research. AnonBiotec conducts extensive research in medicinal mushrooms, supplying products to many hospitals in Thailand.

Prof. Dr. Peter Cheung Chi Keung

Prof. Dr. Peter Cheung Chi Keung is currently a Professor at the School of Life Sciences (The Chinese University of Hong Kong), Associate Director of Food and Nutritional Science Programme and Director of the Food Research Centre, Hong Kong. His research interests include structure-function of cell wall polysaccharides, chemical properties and biological functions of dietary fiber and bioactive compounds from mushroom and edible fungi. He has published over 70 publications on these topics
